Osborne Macharia is a self-taught photographer and visual storyteller who’s putting the Kenyan creative scene on the map. Osborne studied architecture but soon became dissatisfied with his chosen career and decided to move into photography. In the creation of Afrofictionalism (the self-coined name for his artistic style) he blends culture, fiction, and identity to create his own stories that borrow from traditional narratives. His one of a kind style has caught the eye of a number of brands including Nestle. Forbes, and Pepsi and in 2015 he was awarded Kenya’s first ever Cannes Lion.
