Amanda has become one of our country’s most beautiful and celebrated actresses, with an array of women looking up to her for inspiration, motivation and empowerment.

With an innate love for entertaining Amanda knew from a very young age she was destined for the silver screen and became a household name when she made her acting debut as a lead actress in the hit-TV series Muvhango. She since had a recurring role in the popular comedy show Skeem Saam, she is the co-host of Real Goboza and starred in Life is Wild, Intersexions, Generations, Loxion Bioscope and the  films Hear Me Move, The Reunion and Between Friends.

In the welcoming post for her new blog, Amanda wrote, “I’ve conquered so much and risen to shine. I am at a point where no one can dim my light and I am blessed that my story can inspire others to be alight in the lives of their family and friends”. And everyone seems to agree with this statement, judging by her growing fan base and awards such the  Life Time Achievement Award by Swaziland’s Department of Arts & Culture for her achievements in film and television along with her promotion of Swazi Language and Culture.

This presenter, model, brand ambassador, event MC, and now businesswoman with her own designer shoe collection in collaboration with footwear company‚ Footwork South Africa. “My aim is to give women an exclusive, powerful shoe.”  The sexy yet classy collection consist of four different style stilettos, which she named after the women in her family in order to celebrate them and the way that they have been her support structure on her path to success. “These women are all legends in my life, powerful women, who will be represented by powerful shoes. May these shoes inspire all women to be greater and walk towards their destiny”.

For Amanda being a well-known actress doesn’t only mean she gets to shine, but that she is in a position to let others shine as well. She believes that the reason she got into entertainment was to change people’s lives for the better, and that is what she has been doing ever since.

She lends a helping hand to charity through fundraising at horse races and is in charge of an annual food and clothing drive for the thousands of homeless people in central Johannesburg. She also recently paid a visit to the less fortunate in Moretele to spread a message of hope and love.  “Never thought I could be a motivational speaker… but life happens to us all and hope is priceless. I am here to offer counsel‚ pray and give the people hope to fight peacefully to build themselves a better tomorrow”. After her visit she took to social media explaining how the experience changed her outlook on life and that she wants to help build a better country for everyone.

Her message to fans – “follow your dreams no matter what and to ignore those who belittle you now because your time will come, and when it does, stay humble, keep your kicks clean and above all stay swagging!”
