CORONA: FREE RANGE HUMANS

Challenge

Season two of Free Range Humans is a sequel to the original documentary series, following six individuals who left city life to help save the planet, ecosystems, and marine life. The challenge was to amplify the Nature Is Calling message beyond the online series, launching it first in South Africa and setting the stage for a global rollout.

*The launch of season 2 was activated in the South African market first. CSA led the launch and developed a best practices strategy that was used globally.

The Big Idea

Create a social experiment that brings legitimacy to the call for protecting natural spaces—both urban and wild. By illustrating the health benefits of nature, the campaign shows that spending time in nature leads to happier, more creative lives.

Execution

To bring the message to life, several green oases were set up around Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. These lush sanctuaries offered urbanites a break from the concrete jungle, encouraging people to reconnect with nature while raising awareness about its urgent need for protection.
