FAKA is the South African performance art duo, turned cultural movement headlined and created by best friends Thato Ramaisa (Fela Gucci) and Buyani Duma (Desire Marea). The captivating pair have created what is partially an archival project documenting young black queer creatives who they think, from their experience, do not relish in the exposure and recognition they deserve. With International performances alongside industry heavyweights like DJ Lag under their belt the duo’s continued subversion of traditional gender roles and purposefully difficult to pin down music style has the entire music industry standing at attention.
