Legendary graffiti artist Falko once again lived up to his reputation when he showed how to #LIVEWITHHEART with a collection of specially created paintings at a fully packed exhibition called “People Like Us” at the Upstairs on Bree gallery Words: Nadine Oosthuizen

Falko was selected as a member of the Red Heart Crew earlier this year, alongside other top South African talents, including Kwesta, Jean-Marc Johannes, Breyton Paulse and Fixin Diaries, who will all set out on a series of challenges in the coming months that will not only break the boundaries of their comfort zones, but also inspire and motivate their fans to do the same.

Fako first excepted the challenge of showcasing how he “lives with heart” when he dared to just get out there, travelling to a small township called Kaalbaskraal to created a train station mural during the early hours of the morning to pleasantly surprise the community when they commenced their daily rituals. Pushing his limits even further, Falko created twenty unique art pieces for his “People Like Us” exhibition, each depicting his bold, authentic and passionate spirit which he donated to twenty different NGO’s!

Here’s a glimpse into the inspirational evening:
