Tumi Voster joined a host of headline speakers at the first ever Marie Claire Power Summit. The radio and television personality was alongside a line-up of prestigious names such as Nomzamo Mbatha, Terry Pheto, Lindiwe Mazibuko and Redi Tlhabi, in the first of its kind event presented by Marie Claire in association with Audi and the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

 

The event, which took place at The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City, coincided with the Nelson Mandela Foundations’ centenary celebrations, and were themed: Be the Legacy. The inaugural event brought together a host of incredible women leaders, trailblazers, creatives and influencers from across Africa and abroad to share knowledge, wisdom and power.

 

“I couldn’t think of a better time and a bigger honour than to share the stage with so many prominent women in aid of one of the world biggest liberators, Nelson Mandela. Any opportunity to celebrate his legacy is one I will take up with open arms especially for a platform that honours the power and worldwide shift of women which I am truly passionate about”, said keynote speaker, Tumi Voster.

 

As a host, radio DJ, television presenter and mc, Tumi Voster has made a career in the public eye and is committed to using her considerable influence as a vehicle for positive change.  Having recently spoken at the Pride Factor Gauteng Youth Expo, Tumi continued to show herself as a role model and influencer placing her focus on women and youth.
