
Corona wanted to position itself at the centre of Copacabana 2026 in Rio de Janeiro while translating the global “Rio Is Calling” experience into culturally relevant South African storytelling. The objective was to drive premium creator content, earned media and real-time social momentum that extended beyond traditional event coverage.
Corona transformed Copacabana into a living cultural experience through a curated South African creator and talent crew led by Zakes Bantwini. By blending immersive travel storytelling, iconic music moments and live media integration, the campaign connected South African audiences to the energy and culture of Rio in real time.
CSA managed a premium creator, talent and media delegation including Zakes Bantwini, Tanya Nefdt, Kierran Allen and Neo Mokuene, capturing the journey across Instagram, Facebook, X and broadcast media.
Creators documented every stage of the experience – from VIP arrivals and beach culture to the Shakira headline performance – while the Corona Creator Network amplified content in real time to sustain engagement throughout the campaign. CSA also secured earned media through a national press release rollout and multiple eNCA television inserts, including live crossings and interviews with Zakes Bantwini.
